Life is complicated sometimes. Sometimes there is just not enough time in the day to accomplish everything you would like. Sometimes you just have to let some things go, so you can put your full focus on other things. That is where I am right now.
I struggled with this last year and I am finding myself struggling again this year. I am a volunteer coordinator for the Indianapolis Promise Walk for Preeclampsia (wouldn’t give this up for anything). This year has been extremely challenging. I have not had any help this year coordinating…with the exception of Mr. T. So because of this, our booth space as well as this blog have been pushed to the back burner. Not intentionally…just the circumstances.
On June 2nd, we will hold the 2nd Annual Promise Walk for Preeclampsia here in Indianapolis. I am excited, nervous and exhausted! But every bit of energy I have put into this is so worth it. It also reminds me how important my family is to me. It also reminds me that sometimes other things are more important than writing a blog or painting a piece of furniture. Don’t get me wrong…I love these things too, but I love my family more.
We are nearing the end of our walk season, but there are over 30 walks this year throughout the US. Please help us spread the word about this horrible disease that only affects pregnant women and their baby.
So I ask you this question….How much do you know about Preeclampsia?

12 years agoThank you so much for sharing this. I'm thinking that my daughter had a mild case of this just a few short months ago! She is fine, but had a few of the symptoms {that I know of} that you mentioned.

12 years agoThank you for visiting and taking time to listen to our story. The more people we reach, the better! I am so glad to hear your daughter is OK! It's a very scary disease and can come on very quickly. Many times, goes undiagnosed. I believe this is what happened to me. Due to the fact that is was caught after delivery, it then becomes post-partum!
